If your Hoot is flashing fast or slow orange, that is a sign that you need to Reconnect or Reset.
TO RECONNECT TO WI-FI
Press the POWER button to turn off the Hoot device (out position). Leave off for at least 5 seconds.
Press the POWER button back on.
If your Hoot briefly flashes orange (~10 seconds) and then changes to flashing green or red, then everything is connected and working as it should.
If your Hoot is not flashing green or red you’ll need to RESET.
TO RESET
Turn the Hoot off and wait 5 seconds and turn back on. “OFF” is the out position of the power button and the indicator light will turn off as well.
Press and hold the RESET button (the second one on the left hand side) until LED starts flashing fast orange/green (can take more than 10 seconds). This indicates that the device is in Wi-Fi setup mode and you’ll now be able to connect to the Hoot smart device using either an Android phone or iPhone.
Discover Wi-Fi networks on your phone and connect to the temporary device network that is presented in the format HXXXXXXW (Example: H544E9AW - this is also your Hoot Activation Code/serial number).
Use hootwater as the password to join this Wi-Fi signal if you are prompted.
Transfer phone’s Wi-Fi connection to home Wi-Fi. Your device is now reset and connected to your account
Your device is now reset and connected to your account.
